About Romi
I entered the field of psychotherapy because I’ve always been curious about the stories we carry and how they influence the way we navigate the world. Like many therapists, I was the natural listener among my friends—the one people turned to when they sought understanding without fear of judgment. I bring that same curiosity and openness into every session.
My path to becoming a sex therapist began after witnessing how shame, misinformation, and cultural silence around sex often leave us feeling isolated, embarrassed, or confused—even though sexuality plays such a central role in shaping our relationships and inner narratives. Unsatisfied with the limited focus on sexuality in grad school, I pursued specialized training to gain the tools and language needed to better support the communities I work with.
One of my favorite analogies from Sex Educator Emily Nagoski is her garden metaphor: we don’t always choose the seeds planted in our gardens—many are sown by society, family, or past experiences—but we can choose how we tend to them.
Like Nagoski, I believe every person is home to a distinct ecosystem molded by their personal stories and surroundings, each with its own needs and climate. Some flora supports well-being and resilience, while others can be invasive and depleting. Together, we can weed out the harmful messages and cultivate a landscape that feels nourishing, sustainable, and authentic to you.
